Interstellar Transmissions
Warm & Cold Weather

Atmospheric soundscapes, epic vocals and heart-wrenching synths, suitable for both warm and cold weather listening.

Electronic Inform

Electronic soundscapes to melt your mind.

Old & New House Mix

Varied selection of house from the last 20 years, old classics and some of the best of the new stuff. January 2012.

Bumpin & Crunchin – The cutting edge sound of 2012/1994

A few years back in 2009 I found a website selling CD’s of every Essential mix since it began, so I ordered two old Junior Boys Own mixes from 93 and 94 that I used to have on tape. After listening to them both I thought to myself ‘well, they don’t make music like they used to…’ It turns out they do. In fact 2012 sounded more like 1993 than 1993. Massive hi-hats, crunchin snares and groovin bass.

Detroit Mix

90 Minute mix of cold, deep & silvery techno inspired by Detroit

Bridgewater Disco Mix

Vinyl Disco mix from the Bridgewater Barbecue, summer 2012.

Science Fiction

Two hour collage of ambient soundscapes and intense electronica.

Reggae Classics

My set from the Hubba Dubba launch night, August 18th 2013. Featuring a whole load of reggae classics, and a healthy dose of King Tubby dub. Irie.

Disco & Boogie mix

Fat, funkin and bumpin disco & boogie mix.

New York Mix
The French Riviera

Laidback, atmospheric soundscapes of tripped-out deep house funk.

Hubba Dubplates

Hubba dubplates mix, featuring some of the best tracks Ive played at Hubba Dubba since it began in 2013. Reggae, Dancehall, Broken-beats, UK Funky, Bass, Ragga and Jungle. From Jamaica to London. Autumn 2014.

Heatwave Hits

All your favourite hits for hot heatwave listening.

Leeds 2003

Varied vinyl mix I did in 2003 when I lived in Leeds. Has a whole load of different stuff, bit of hip hop, nu jazz, latin, soul, dub, and other leftfield tracks amongst other things. Its a downtempo journey through all the tunes I was listening to at the time.

Nightclub Music

Most of the music on this page can be described in some way as ‘nightclub music’. In this case its the full-on peak-time bangers variety. April 2012.

Summer Chillout 2004

Back in the early 2000’s when chill out compilations were the ‘in’ thing, my in-laws asked me to do a mix for them in that style. This was my take on the generic MoS Ibiza Chill out album.

Techno Mixtape Vol.2 – Heavy Industrial Noise

80 mins of heavy industrial noise, featuring some of the best techno from 2011/2012ish, from excellent producers like L-Vis 1990, Boddika, Jon Convex, Locked Groove, Bok Bok and more.

Hubba Dubba Hip Hop

My set from Hubba Dubba, August 25th 2013 featuring some 90s hip hop classics shoddily thrown together, with a disco finale.

Acid House Set 2010

My set from ‘What do you do?’ at the Frog & Nightingale, August 2010. Featuring a load of dirty & dark acid house, some early Techno and a bit of rave. Also features dodgy beat matching as it was the first time id had a mix for about six years.

Like the ‘Steal their style’ section of Heat magazine, this is an ode to Daniel Avery and features tracks off some of his charts and mixes, and a few others in that style of music he plays. March 2013.

Mixtape August 2012 – Future Garage

Nu Skool 2012 style ‘future garage’ mix. This garage is from the future, where it is known as ‘deep house’.

Evo warm-up September 2014

Warm-up duties at Evo, Bar Rumbar, July 18th 2014.

London Warehouse 2012

What a warehouse in London may have sounded like in 2012

Aint no party like a deep-tech party

Deep-tech has got to be THE most depressingly boring name for a genre of music. It sounds about as exciting as algorithmic database research, if such a thing exists. Thankfully here is a 90 minute mix of deep-tech vibes to cheer us all up.

30th birthday mix

Various party tunes Ive played at various friends 30th birthday parties over the last couple of years. Featuring a family-friendly selection of funk, boogie, disco, hip hop, 80s pop, and some very very guilty pleasures. I necked a four pack of stellas beforehand to add authenticity. Summer 2014.

Mixtape September 2012 – Balearic Beats

One hour of Balearic summer vibes, just in time for Autumn.

Surco Profundo

All of my sets from the Surco Profundo nights at the Pheonix through summer 2013,
housin it downstairs in the bar. Shout out to Paulio, Evan & Gaz, good times!

Surco Profundo – September 2013

A tale of two EP’s by two T’s. The two T’s being Todd Edwards and Thomas Bangalter. Todd’s ‘Shall go’ EP from 2012, and Thomas Bangalters ‘Trax on da Rocks’ EP from 1995. 17 years between them but sounding good together. And then a bit of boshing at the end for good measure as it was the last Surco at the Pheonix.

Surco Profundo – August 2013.

Varied tunes including Levon Vincent’s amazing Man or Mistress, which Im glad to say I got to play upstairs on the Funktion 1s. It sounded great..

Surco Profundo – July 2013

Featuring the usual housey bizness, and then a few memories from Sonar festival, including one of the biggest highlights – Todd Terje & Lindstrom. Their live set closing first day of Sonar-by-day was a joy to behold. Other highlights included Rob da Bank getting the party started, Krystal Klear in the Dome, and Seth Troxler playing Ten Walls as the sunlight came through the roof of Sonar by night..

Surco Profundo – June 2013

Featuring some great tunes by genuine Chicago house legend Marshall Jefferson.

Surco Profundo – May 2013

Bit sketchy that night as Id been at the Bridgewater BBQ all day (pictured) and had no time to sort any tunes out for the evening. I cant really remember playing any this either.

Surco Profundo – April 2013

Featuring Tanner Ross & Slow Hands – All the same. Tune of the moment in our house. And a glorious Aeroplane remix at the end, pitched up way to fast but I really wanted to play it so there you go.

This page is dedicated to my long time friend and DJing partner Andy, who we sadly lost in 2012. We made friends at school in 1992 through a mutual love of rave. We both got decks and learnt to mix together, started clubbing together, DJ’d at all kinds of bizarre places, from six-deck extravaganzas at the City Bar to the Lache Vicars 40th birthday party. For the best part of the last 20 years he was the person I thought of first whenever I heard a new tune or mix, and his diverse taste in music has brought so many tunes into my life and completely influenced what I listen to. We had a mutual understanding of dance music and DJing that is irreplacable and I’ll always miss him, but there were so many good memories over the years. Shout out to the Doss Clan, here is some of the memories…
